Set up a FUYL™ Smart Locker with the FUYL ™ Kiosk

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step guide for setting up a FUYL™ Smart Locker, along with troubleshooting tips to resolve any issues during the process.

Existing customers

If you are an existing customer upgrading your Locker to a FUYL Kiosk, please follow the steps outlined in the migration guide.

Before you start

Before you start setting up your FUYL Smart Locker, check you’ve completed the below steps:

  • Your locker is physically installed and powered on
  • The LCD display shows “Ready to set up” with a unique ID.
    If the screen displays "Enter bay number", you may need to update the locker’s firmware or factory reset.
  • Accept an emailed invitation to the FUYL Portal and create an admin profile.
  • Follow the instructions on how best to configure your network to allow the FUYL™ Locker to communicate with the FUYL™ Portal and the Kiosk App.
  • Follow the instructions on how best to install and configure the FUYL™ Kiosk App.

Set up your FUYL Smart Locker System

To connect your FUYL Locker to the internet and pair it with your FUYL Kiosk, follow the below steps:

  1. Open the FUYL Kiosk App and log in with your FUYL Portal admin profile.
  2. Select “Set up new station”.
  3. Select the Locker ID that corresponds with the display on your FUYL™ Locker.

  4. Select new or existing network settings.
    If the FUYL™ Locker is connected via Ethernet and requires no manual configuration (DHCP), you may wish to select "Use existing tower settings".
    If WiFi or customised Ethernet settings are required, select "New network settings" and configure as required.
  5. The FUYL™ Locker will attempt to connect to your local network, the Enhanced Portal, and your own FUYL™ Enhanced account.
    If you encounter issues connecting, check the FUYL™ Network Requirements or submit a ticket for help.
  6. Set up the Kiosk
    • Site Name - Choose either an existing site name or create a new one. Typically, this describes the campus or building in which the locker resides.
    • Group Name - Name the group (made up of the FUYL™ Kiosk and FUYL™ Locker). Typically, this describes the specific locker to be configured.
  7. Your tower is now set up. The display should now present a white LocknCharge logo, and the bay LEDs will be a dim blue, indicating they are ready to be configured.
  8. You can now select ‘Load Devices” to add workflows and devices.
