Overview
The onboarding application on your FUYL Locker will assist you in connecting it to the FUYL Portal, updating firmware, and utilising diagnostic tools for network troubleshooting.
Before onboarding your FUYL Locker, ensure you have the following
- The Account Code
- The FUYL Portal temporary login details
- An ethernet cable (Included in the accessories box)
- Knowledge of your network configuration and the FUYL Locker's network requirements
To onboard your FUYL Locker follow these steps:
- Plug in your FUYL Locker to a power outlet and check the display screen is on.
- You may be asked to update the firmware of a locker before it can be onboarded. It is recommended to both update this firmware and configure automatic updates for all lockers for ongoing security and reliability.
- Retrieve the Portal address from the locker by connecting it to the network with an ethernet cable. The process to retrieve the locker’s portal address depends on your intended network configuration.
- Ethernet (DHCP): Connect the locker to your network using an ethernet cable.
- Ethernet (Static) or WiFi: Connect the locker to an available configuration device (such as a laptop) via an ethernet cable, then restart the locker.
- After connecting the ethernet cable, enter the administration menu on the FUYL Locker display by pressing “00” on the keypad and then “OK”.
Note: On newer firmware versions, you won't be able to see "00" being displayed. This is normal. - Enter the default PIN: 31082018
- Select System Status (option 2), then Network Status (option 1)
- Open a web browser on a laptop or computer and enter the Portal Address shown on the FUYL Locker display.
- Note: Some browsers will report a security warning, which appears because the locker has generated a self-signed certificate to secure your connection. It is safe to bypass security certificates or privacy warnings in this case, but should you have a concern please contact support for more information.
- Enter the default login credentials:
Username: admin
Password: 31082018 - The onboarding wizard will guide you in connecting your locker to your FUYL Portal:
- In the Network Configuration step your locker can be changed from the default DHCP ethernet settings or connected to a local WiFi network.
- In the Internet Connection step your locker will perform a series of tests to ensure it has the necessary external access to be connected to your FUYL Portal.
- In the Registration step you will be prompted to enter an account code (provided by LocknCharge) and a name to identify your locker in the FUYL Portal.
- Once finished, close the Onboarding Portal
- Login to the FUYL Portal at www.lockncharge.io
- Select New stations found in the Connected Station List
- Select the checkbox next to the locker you want to add. Then select the Node you would like to add it to. Note: If this node has already been configured, the new locker will adopt those settings immediately.
- Select the Move station button at the top of the page, then select yes from the confirmation box.
The FUYL Locker is now connected to the FUYL Portal and ready to be configured. See the How To section for further configuration information.
