Overview
IT Admins can seamlessly migrate FUYL Lockers from FUYL™ Essentials or Advanced to FUYL Enhanced. This migration is designed to assist by copying networking and other information.
Alternatively, FUYL Lockers can be factory reset then set up with FUYL Enhanced by following the Set up a FUYL™ Smart Locker guide.
By using the Migrate feature in the Kiosk App, IT Admins can easily enable their already onboarded Lockers for use with the Kiosk system and manage them via the new FUYL Portal.
This article provides a step-by-step guide for migrating from FUYL Essentials or Advanced to FUYL Enhanced, as well as troubleshooting tips to resolve common issues during the process.
Process
Prerequisites
This migration process assumes you have prepared the following:
- An iPad prepared for FUYL Kiosk (See here for set up help)
- A FUYL™ Locker currently connected to LocknCharge Cloud.
- The FUYL™ Locker should be on a firmware version equal to or greater than 2.12.0.
Check and update from within your existing LocknCharge Cloud interface if necessary - A FUYL™ Enhanced account prepared either by your FUYL™ Administrator or LocknCharge.
Log into the FUYL™ Portal if you are unsure.
If you aren't sure about any of the above, please get in touch by submitting a ticket.
Begin the Migration
- Open the FUYL Kiosk App on your iPad.
- Sign in to the FUYL Kiosk using your FUYL Portal credentials.
If you have issues with logging in, you may not have an account associated with an Admin in FUYL™ Enhanced. Contact your FUYL™ Admin or LocknCharge support for help. - Tap Migrate existing station.
If you aren't able to see a Migrate button, your locker may not be on an account prepared for FUYL™ Enhanced. Submit a ticket with support if this is the case. - The Migrate Existing Station page will display all Lockers that are currently onboarded to your FUYL™ Essentials or Advanced portal.
If your lockers are faded, they may not be on a compatible firmware version for migration. Please update them through your existing FUYL™ Essentials or Advanced Portal. - Select the FUYL™ Locker you wish to set up with this Kiosk and tap Migrate.
- Review & Confirm migration.
You may be reminded about existing bay reservations or statuses at this stage, which will be cleared should you continue. If end-users have devices charging, or loan devices out (and expect to be able to return them) you may wish to wait until these are resolved to continue.
Next Steps: Finish Kiosk Set Up
- Set up the Kiosk
- Site Name - Choose either an existing site name or create a new one. Typically, this describes the campus or building in which the locker resides.
- Group Name - Name the group (made up of the FUYL™ Kiosk and FUYL™ Locker). Typically, this describes the specific locker to be configured.
- Your locker is now set up.
- You can now load devices (configure the FUYL™ Locker bays) or "Back to admin". The display should now present a white LocknCharge logo, and the bay LEDs will be a dim blue, indicating they are ready to be configured.
