How long does syncing take?
Syncing times will vary and depend on two things. 1) The amount of content to be transferred or synced to the device, and 2) The number of devices connected to the iQ 16 Sync Charge Box.
My iQ 16 Sync Charge Box will sync but will not charge?
In order to start charging, the data cable needs to be removed from the iQ 16 Sync Charge Box. Once the data cable is removed, syncing will stop, the charge light will emit when in charge mode and charging will commence.
Can I sync and charge iPod Touch or iPhone devices with the iQ 16 Sync Charge Box?
Yes. The iQ 16 Sync Charge Box is compatible with all Apple iOS devices.
Can the iQ 16 Sync Charge Box be removed from the LocknCharge products that they are stored in? Eg: iQ 30 Cart, iQ 16 Cart, etc.
Yes. LocknCharge products are designed to be modular.
Can I sync and charge my devices at the same time?
No. Once you plug in the data cable to your MacBook, the syncing process commences and charging will stop. The connector cable needs to be removed in order to revert back to charging.
Does the iQ 16 Sync Charge Box work with new iPad devices?
Yes. The iQ 16 Sync Charge Box can be updated to work with the latest devices and software. The customer would need to supply their own cables or contact us to purchase cables from LocknCharge.
Does the iQ 16 Sync Charge Box work with Apple Configurator?
Yes. It also works with iTunes.
Can I use a Windows Laptop to sync my iPad devices?
We recommend using a MacBook in order to recognize all the devices connected at once. If you are using a Windows Laptop, you may be limited to a certain number of devices. (Eg: there have been cases where Windows will only recognize up to seven devices at once).

Are you having problems syncing multiple devices with iTunes/Apple Configurator on your Macbook?
In June 2013, a range of Apple products incorporated the new 4th Generation Intel Core vPro Processors (Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7). The new 4th Generation Intel Core vPro Processor products limits the number of devices which can be connected via their USB ports. We’ve developed a software update to fix this. Simply download the USB Limit Fix app from the link below and follow the instructions.
My devices aren't being recognized?
For iOS 11.4.1 devices or later (you can check your iOS version in Settings > General > About and look down at which Version the device is running), to allow the device to be recognized by LocknCharge unit you may need to do one of the following steps:
- Do not enable a passcode on iOS devices
- -OR- for iOS devices with passcodes, simply unlock the device prior to plugging in
- -OR- update Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > scroll down to USB Accessories (toggle to “ON” so it is green)
